The Amita Damascene Mfg Co. was a well-known Japanese workshop that created various damascene items, including cigarette cases, jewelry, and compacts.

The K24 mark indicates that the gold used for the inlay is 24-karat, which is pure gold. Other metals, such as sterling silver, were often used to create a mixed-metal effect.
