This is a brand new up/down vertical replacement motor gear kit for 05-14 Ford Mustang. It will replace your factory gears. This is not used, but brand new. It will work for the front or rear up/down adjustment motor.

This is for one kit, If both your tilt motor gears are broke, you will need 2 kits.  The kit comes with a steel gear mounted on a custom machined shaft with removeable end stop.  This version comes with a nylon worm gear.  A lifetime warranty comes with this kit.  A metal on metal gear setup causes a noticeable gear whine. Other brass gear kits require grinding/machining off the old gear and then drilling/pinning/glueing the new gear on which can cause major issues if not positioned correctly on the shaft.

This kit comes with a new front thrust washer and a removeable end stop, as well as detailed instructions with colored photos. You will reuse your rear thrust washer.  White lithium grease is needed to lube up the gear housing.

Typical symptoms of bad vertical gears are:
1. Motor runs but no seat movement. Usually the gears are stripped.
2. Motor clicks but no seat movement. A broken tooth binds up the gears, acting as a cog.
3. Seat moves slightly then stops. A broken tooth binds up the gears, acting as a cog.

You will have to reuse your tube nut from the old shaft.
