Here we have the Gilbert HO, New York Central # 31005 Hudson. When it came, it was a non running engine with issues. All its problems were taken care of and now it is back running and smoking again. It is dated 2 60, Feb 1960, inside the boiler. It had its wiring replaced, a new coupler installed and two new rubber tires put on. It's had some paint touch up and cleaning of the railings. axles and wheels. Like most of the late Hudson's, this one runs and sounds great. It smokes nicely and its headlight is operating. We've had a few of Gilbert's old engines in the shop lately. It's a pleasure and quite enjoyable to bring them back amongst the living. Here's one more that's ready to ride the rails again.
