AUTHENTIC AEROSPACE-GRADE "SPACE GOLD" INSULATION. Up for sale is a rare, 5.5" x 8.5" aluminized Polyimide film. This is the iconic "gold foil" seen on the Space Shuttle, Apollo Lunar Modules, and modern satellites.

 Aerospace Aluminized Polyimide (Kapton Type material)  2 mil thick.  

The color is Deep Amber Gold/ high reflective Silver.  Made by either brand of DuPont or Dunmore in the United States, this material is known for its high-quality features and durability. It is commonly used in various electrical equipment and industrial applications, making it a valuable resource for businesses and professionals in need of such specialized materials. This material was sourced approcimately 15-20 years ago directly form an engineer working on rocket jet engine production. It has been stored in a climate-controlled environment and handled with care. The first few feet is a bit crinkled, but it has not been unrolled past that.
