Harman Kardon 330c Stereo Receiver.

This era of Harman Kardon continues to be underrated among enthusiasts. This receiver comfortably punches above its weight class, and has been fully restored to ensure its performance for the next 40 years. All functions on this receiver work correctly including the tuning meter which is frequently broken and exceedingly difficult to replace. After restoration the unit outputs 25 watts per channel RMS.

This receiver is in "good" 7/10 cosmetic condition. There is some residue on the faceplate that is difficult to see unless you look very closely under the right lighting conditions. I have tried to show this in the photos as best as I can. There are no other major issues - this receiver is in great shape given that it is 50 years old.

Restoration Work:

All controls fully cleaned and properly lubricated.

Power Supply: All 8 electrolytic capacitors replaced, 2 transistors replaced, 4 diodes replaced, 1 zener diode replaced.

Amplifier: All 6 electrolytic capacitors replaced, 16 transistors replaced, 2 trimmer resistors replaced. Original ouput transistors re-flowed with new solder. I prefer to keep output transistors original when they test good, but I will include replacements if you'd like them. Bias set to spec 10mV on both channels.

Tone Control: All 10 electrolytic capacitors replaced, 6 transistors replaced.

Phono Preamp: All 8 electrolytic capacitors replaced, 4 transistors replaced.

Tuner: 13 electrolytic capacitors replaced, 4 tantalum capacitors replaced.

Please see the photos for further documentation of the restoration work.

NO returns for anything other than DOA. Even though this unit has been restored, it is still a vintage item and as such could have unforeseen failures at a later date. As such, it is sold AS IS.

I am happy to provide a video of it running and playing music if desired.
