I believe most of the items were never used.

5 set of stairs, I believe for Darth Vader

I think the other gray pieces are supposed to hold the staircase. I'm not sure though.

The platform with rocks says 2005 Lucasfilm.

The ball with chain, I don't know what that is for.

Stairs are about 5.5" tall, the other platform with rocks is about 8" in length.

What you see in the first picture is what you get.
