Reissue of the already sold out Barracuda 1/72 model. Kit contains three grey styrene clusters and one with clear parts. The decals cover two machines as they were used in the Atlantic, one of which carries nose art. Our Barracuda offers the ability to display it with a subcutaneous torpedo or 1600 pound bomb. The kit also contains the weapon towers under the wings.

The shoulder-wing Barracuda aircraft was equipped with large Youngman-type wing flaps at the rear of the wing's trailing edge, had unusual retracted "L"-shaped main landing gear legs to the sides of the fuselage, and was capable of attacking enemy ships using torpedo or bomb armament carried, which could be dropped both horizontally or in a dive. The Barracuda was equipped with ASV IIN radar and was also used for long-range reconnaissance missions. Although originally designed as torpedo bombers, torpedoes have only been used on limited occasions in Norwegian waters. The Barracudas were primarily considered dive bombers and participated in the landing in Italy, several attack sorties on the Tirpitz (initially using American-made 1600-pound AP bombs). Until the end of the war in Europe, the Barracudas continued to attack German ships in Norwegian waters from land bases and aircraft carriers and also conducted anti-submarine operations.
