About the Flosa History:

These items were made in Portugal during the mid 20th century.  Handmade in the village of Redondo, a village in the Alentejo region of Portugal known for a pottery tradition dating back over 500 years. While "Redondo" refers to the town of origin, Flosa (often marked as "Olaria Flosa") was a specific workshop or brand within that region.  The plates are typically made of terracotta (redware) and feature hand-painted, vibrant folk art designs. Common motifs include rural life, such as harvesting wheat, hay cutting, and local animals like roosters or fish.
