From being born as a baby, growing by learning together as children, maturing to work as adults in the community, and eventually dying within the community—rather than just focusing on the ending, this ideal community style of the Yatsugatake Ending Village aims for a place where you can be happy living your whole life, from the opening (birth) to the ending (death), without ever having to leave the community.

The importance of a multi-generational community lies not only in stimulating and helping each other across age groups and through shared roles, but also in ensuring the sustainability of the community human cycle.

Anticipating every possibility, the village concept is to be walkable, suited to any situation. Therefore, for the necessary location, the Ending Village plan is focusing on the Nishiide district at 1000 meters elevation in Oizumi Town, Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture.
