•Item Type: Glass electrical/telephone insulator.

•Design: Often referred to as a “beehive” style (specifically CD 155 or CD 154) due to its cylindrical body and domed top.

•Manufacturer: Whitall Tatum Company (Millville, New Jersey).

•Production Era: Whitall Tatum began making insulators in 1922. Many “No. 1” specimens date from the late 1930s to the 1940s. One insulator is dated “1941” and the other one is dated “1943”.

•Embossing: Marked with “WHITALL TATUM / No 1” on one side and “MADE IN U.S.A.” on the other.

•Dimensions: Approximately 4 inches tall.
