OVERVIEW

The Kumho Ecsta PA31 (OE) is a performance and high performance, depending on the speed rating of the specific tire size, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. This is an OE as it is the original equipment of select vehicles.

The model promotes excellent all weather traction and road gripping ability. The tire compound is made from a high performance all season compound that ensures a safer dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The directional tread pattern features a heavy siping design and large cross grooves that actively prevent hydroplaning situations by channeling water and slush from below the tire footprint. The advanced compound technology and special tread design promote exceptional year round safety.

The directional tread pattern enhances different aspects of the tire's performance. It improves the handling, the controllability and the tread life. The directional tread design manages to evenly spreads out the driving pressure across the tread area, which extends the tire's usability. The equal distribution of the forces of acceleration, cornering and braking across the tread area prevents irregular wear patterns from forming across the tread area. This extended even wear elongates the tire's tread life and therefore its usability.

The tire's handling, its steering responsiveness and driving stability, are also boosted with the directional tread pattern. Kumho's special ESCOT Technology improves the handling by optimizing the tread design and enhancing the tire's durability. This technology optimizes the cord tension distribution in the tire's sidewall, which together with the directional tread pattern's even driving pressure circulation increases the tire's controllability. The model becomes quick and precise in its response to the driver's commands, and it gets stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the tire.

The directional tread pattern also increases the tire's performance, even for high speed driving. The special tread design provides additional biting edges during cornering and braking, while it speeds up the acceleration. The firm road grip increases the cornering ability and power and shortens the braking distance by building up pressure when it is needed. The increased acceleration, cornering and braking guarantee a safer high speed performance.

The Ecsta PA31 (OE) offers a quiet and comfortable driving experience. The special variable pitch tread block sequence on the tire's shoulders cancels out the road noise created. It creates a sound frequency that negates the road noise generated while the tires are in motion. As a result, the drive is more enjoyable.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
