My Epiphone Dot Deluxe. • Serial number I02070436. It’s a Ltd edition made in the Saein factory - Korea 2002. • The pictures are dull and do it no justice so I’ve added a little video which shows off the colour much better. It’s a lovely looking guitar. The finish on that top stands out above other Epi Dots. But what’s more important is it sounds ace for a budget guitar. • It’s been well looked after and cherished by myself since I bought it second hand quite a few years ago. I’ve only ever used this at home so the body work is still outstandingly clean with minimal signs of wear. No dings or whacks and truss rod adjustments are hassle free. Obviously there’s the inevitable signs of 23 years of use - slight tarnish to the gold plating (which looks much better in person - the camera makes it look very faint) and the odd very faint hairline scratches - but not much to mention. It has been used with care and stored very well over its life. • Not the original hard case because the original was falling to pieces but I eventually found a worthy used replacement. It’s a well built and solid hefty piece from Gear4Music. Much better than the original which was like Papier-mâché. • Allow me to point you to the last 2 pictures to highlight the only obviously visible aesthetic negatives. There are 2 little cracks in the paint at the neck/body meeting point. I have really focused in on these for the sake of the pictures. They aren’t as drastic as they look. They are historic from before my purchase of the guitar and have not increased at all since my ownership. Quite a few years back I took it to the music shop in town to get it set up proper as it was all over the place. The guitar tech said it’s not a structural issue, he’s seen it before on Epis and it’s likely caused by the lacquer paint drying out along the joint line He also reassured me by saying his setting up of the guitar was trouble-free and gave no hints of any issues. As I said, the cracks haven’t grown at all over the years. I just have to be honest and thorough with my description to avoid any ‘not as described’ complaints. EBay selling is based on a ‘sold as seen’ understanding and thus items must be described honestly and thoroughly. Some sellers miss out a lot of detail and It’s a sh*t feeling when you receive something you’ve bought for good money and it reveals to be nothing you expected or something isn’t mentioned in the description. This is eBay so I bet you’ve all experienced it at least once. I certainly have. My feedback reflects my integrity as a seller when comes to thoroughness, honesty, fairness in price and worthy packaging when shipping. • Anyway, Please feel free to come look before deciding to buy. • These Korean Deluxe models are rarely seen for sale. If you’re a stage player, It is worthy of modification and becoming a forever guitar in your collection but it sounds great as it is. Looks ace too! • Shipping is via Royal Mail Next Day Before 1pm. It offers full insurance cover and they won’t leave it behind a strangers bin or with a neighbour that doesn’t exist and you’ll get the delivery super fast. I’m estimating about £30. If you collect I’ll refund you the £30. The Royal Mail Next Day Before 1pm is guaranteed. And, you get it quick! The less time in the hands of a courier, the better. So expect delivery the morning after shipping. • I have no box so the guitar hard case will be doing its job. Don’t worry, to protect from dirt and surface damage I will wrap it in bubble wrap and then cover in a full roll of brown tape. Collecting would be an ideal option for me but I don’t mind a trip to the post office. • If you still need more detail, ask away and I’ll respond asap.
