We offer for sale a work of art of Italian lighting: a important suspension chandelier dating back to the 1960s, attributed to the famous designer Gino Paroldo for the prestigious house Fountain Art.

Design and Architecture: This chandelier represents the quintessence of Italian "Space Age" luxury. The central structure is a mechanical masterpiece: a body made of golden brass with finely knurled (knurled) workmanship on the central stem, from which the arms that support the speakers branch out in a radial pattern. The real magic is given by large geometric slabs in thick smoked glass. Each plate is bevelled (ground) at the edges, an expensive and refined process that creates prismatic plays of light and gives visual depth to the object.

Materials and Quality: Unlike the common productions of the time, here we are faced with the use of solid brass and thick glass. The "fumé" (smoky grey) color of the glass, combined with the gold of the structure, creates an extremely elegant chromatic contrast, typical of high-level interiors of the mid-twentieth century.

Luminous Effect: Once turned on, the chandelier does not simply illuminate, but "furnishes" with light. The smoked glass filters the intensity of the bulbs, diffusing a warm, soft and sophisticated light into the environment, perfect for a living room or above an important dining table.
