indicating its products were in demand across the United States, particularly within the 
pharmaceutical or druggist trade. Records from The California Druggist dated February 1, 1890, 
reference the Manhattan Spirit Co.  Advertisements from the period describe the company's products 
as being "in demand from the Atlantic to the Pacific" and urged druggists to stock their goods.
The company operated during the late 1800s, a time when many specialized spirit companies were 
providing medicinal or industrial alcohol products to pharmacist
