This is a Wm S. Haynes fully silver piccolo with silver head, body, keys, and mechanisms. Soldered tone holes, inline G, closed G#, no Bb shake (standard for this vintage).  Pitched in the key of C with a conical bore, this piccolo from 1930 represents a truly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: Based on the official Wm S. Haynes registry, this is the very first silver conical bore in C that Haynes ever produced. This is your chance to own a tiny (no pun intended) piece of American flute-making history in this beautiful little gem.

The piccolo is in incredible shape overall with a recent COA in January 2026 (with new headjoint cork & Ab key pad replaced). Absolutely does not show its age - tarnish is minimal and there are no scratches or dings in the headjoint or body. Very shiny top to bottom. There is (as shown in the final two photos) a minor ding on top of the crown itself, but this is no way affects playability as it is purely cosmetic. Tenon is in excellent shape and shows very little signs of use.

Piccolo plays very well from low to high as demonstrated in the video. Intonation is great and projection is clearly no issue given its material and bore design. The pads, although older, are seating well, and are a combination of skin and cork pads. Again, the Ab key pad is new as of January 2026 as are several key corks. Overall adjustment is solid and all keys function properly and smoothly. The picc feels solid and substantial, with a hefty weight to it given its all-silver contruction, clearly a testament to the quality the Wm S. Haynes company has been globally recognized for well over 100 years.

Comes in a wooden case with light blue interior and a brand new black plush-lined Haynes piccolo case cover with zippered outside compartment.
