Check my feedback. I've sold many high end guitars on Ebay and none have ever been returned.
Exceptional CEO 7. I played 15+ before I bought this one (took about 2 years, as they are not common in the shops in my area). The only reason I'm selling it is because I'm moving to a narrow neck and an even shorter scale. Same reason I sold my long scale Collings last Fall.
Mature tone for a 2022, as it's been played. It's in excellent overall condition. No dings or defects. There is minor play wear from fingers and picks that could be buffed out by a luthier in minutes. Photo near the pickguard shows how minor these swirls are (very common on guitars with black in the finish).
The specs. It has a truly perfect neck. It's not quite zero relief, but it's close. Action at the 12th low E is .094 and at the 12th high E is .077. It is set up to Kimsey standards near his level one. It can be flatpicked quite hard, but the only thing you might ever have to do to is cut a higher saddle if you have a heavy (bluegrass) hand. It plays like butter.
The tone is very balanced and mature. This model is consistently one of the best from Martin, but some of them are a little bright. This one isn't. It's warm and full and the low end has a good bit of the Gibson DNA.
The original tuners (StewMac Golden Relics) were tossed in the trash can, as they are complete junk and Martin should be embarrassed that they put that level of quality on a high-end guitar. The replacements are direct drop-in Gotoh SE700-M6 in gold and ivory. These required no modification to the guitar and the bushing holes are the original size.
If you don't love it, contact me within 24 hours and we will issue a return for the purchase price of the guitar. The listing says no returns, but this is a written contract that you will have an approval period.
