Vintage 1965 Silvertone Sears/Danelectro) 1483 Head with Cabinet, used.

Wonderful condition for a 61 year old. Amp sounds awesome.

Head has been recapped and has also had a 3 prong ac power cord installed. 

Death cap has also been removed.

Pot date codes: 137-6517 

Pots and jacks have all been cleaned and lubed with Deoxit.

There is the usual chassis tarnishing, but not too bad. I guess you could spend some time cleaning it up but it is so slight, that it never bothered me.

Tubes:

Rectifier: 5Y3-Vintage Silvertone (RCA)

Power Tubes: 2 x 6L6GC - Vintage Westinghouse

Pre-amp tubes: 1 x 6FQ7 Silvertone and 2 x 12AX7's - 1/Sovtek, 1/Older Silvertone

Original Power and Output transformers.

Speaker: 1965 Jensen 15", model C15P.  Date code 220517

The original speaker cord from the amp has been replaced with a 1/4" jack.

The speaker cabinet has a 1/4" plug on the end.

The Choke has been removed from the speaker cabinet, but it (and the 2 mounting screws) will be included. The choke was used to filter some frequencies for use with bass, but is undesired for guitar players. It can be re-installed for playing bass.

The speaker cabinet includes an older cover which has shrunk a bit in height over the last 25 years that I have had this unit.

There is a very slight "cabinet buzz" when the head sits on the cab, but when the head is removed from the top of the cabinet, it stops.

I will not be held liable, nor my estate or any future heirs, for any accident(s) resulting from an electrical malfunction or an item not UL Approved or has previously had any safety mechanism bypassed, either at time of winning bidder purchase or at any future time. INSURANCE/DAMAGE/LOSS CLAIMS/RETURNS:

1. All auction items shipped have mandatory insurance included (often referred to as “declared value” by shippers), based on the final auction value, no exceptions. The condition of my merchandise and packaged contents are documented by several methods, for both insurance and anti-fraud purposes.

2. I must be informed, within 24 hours of receipt of your package, of any damage. All damage claims must be filed promptly and all packaging retained. If you have not received your package in a reasonable time, based on the shipping method and you suspect that it is lost, please inform me promptly, so I can provide assistance in tracking it. Timely communication is essential for any damage or loss claim to be successful.   

3. As indicated, I generally do not accept returns. If I have specified a return policy in this auction for a specific item or have shipped you the wrong item, the buyer agrees the return must be approved in advance. A return shipping method and ship date that is mutually acceptable must be settled before shipment. Any items sent back to me without prior approval will be refused and the buyer will be responsible for all shipping costs incurred.

BUYER AGREEMENT:

1. The buyer agrees to the Auction Terms on this page by:  bidding on this auction, subsequently winning the auction,  executing the Buy It Now feature, or submitting a Best Offer, as the case may be. Once the auction has closed the purchase of the items listed in this auction is binding and final.
