The is an 88+ year old classic Chicago Hardware Foundry (CHF) hammered finish No 8 cast iron skillet in restored condition. CHF stopped production of their cookware in 1938. The cooking surface is very smooth to the touch, though it does show some patches of etching from previous corrosion and minor utensil scores. The pan does not sit flat on a polished granite surface and is not recommend for use on a ceramic or induction cooktop. This is not an issue for use on a gas range. No chips, cracks, or repairs.
