This is for 1 bareroot geranium plant. To make an impact as a border, consider rows of mass planting. Think of waves of 7 or 9. Pair with Astilbe, Daylily, or Iris to make a BIG impact!

This plant will be shipped with its roots wrapped in a moist material to keep them hydrated during transit. It is important to remember that this is a living plant and may show signs of stress, such as slight wilting or yellowing of leaves, from its time in a dark shipping box. This is normal. Remember, plants are just as alive as me and you. As silly as it might be, imagine how we would feel and the condition we would be in if we were stuck in a dark box with no food and water, then tossed, thrown, or kicked around. It's a little harsh! All of my plants are packed with love, and sealed with a kiss. They know they are on their way to a new home where they will be loved. Be understanding and patient. For the best results, upon arrival, follow the care instructions below to help your plant recover and thrive in its new home❤️

Now that were finished with the disclaimer, let's talk about this amazing spring to fall blooming perennial!

Perennial geranium is a darling plant with attractive foliage and bright flowers. Its many varieties work wonderfully as groundcovers and borders.

Perennial geranium foliage can be quite stunning—many types have deeply lobed and dissected leaves of gold, burgundy, bronze, gray, and green shades. Toward the end of the growing season, several species develop rich fall-color foliage, showing off orange, red, and yellow hues. Perennial geranium may be a small plant, but its showstopping appearance elevates any garden.

Perennial geranium is most often grown in USDA Zones 3–9, as the plant thrives in areas where it can go through a dormant winter chill.

You can plant it as groundcover, in a border garden, or in a container. Although it’s unsuitable as a houseplant, perennial geranium flourishes when grown in pots outside. When the potted plant goes dormant in the winter, wrap up the container or store it in a garage or shed.

Perennial geranium is a hardy plant that requires little attention. It grows quickly, blooms for many months, and adds delicate beauty to any garden setting.

Perennial geranium grows happily in full sun to part shade. Many varieties also do fine in more shade but may produce fewer flowers due to limited sun exposure.

Perennial geraniums can handle just about any soil, but they appreciate well-drained soil and don't like to stay wet. When planting in clay, amending the soil with compost helps perennial geranium develop more quickly.

Perennial geranium tolerates humidity, cold climates, and excessive heat with ease. Although the plant copes with hot temperatures, consider growing it in a spot that gets partial shade in the afternoon to give it a brief break from the heat. Doing so allows perennial geranium to flourish magnificentlyUnless the soil is poor, perennial geranium doesn’t usually require fertilizer. However, the plant will happily receive an annual application of a balanced granular formulation, such as a 10-10-10 product, in early spring before it blooms. A 2-inch layer of compost is an acceptable alternative to a purchased product.

After receiving your bare root plant, it's time to give it the love I promised.

Follow this step by step guide and you will both be happy🌸❤️

1.) Soak- Upon arrival, unwrap the roots and soak them in a bucket of cool water for 30 minutes to 1 hour to rehydrate.

2.) Plant- Dig a hole large enough to allow the roots to spread out naturally. Place the plant in the hole at the same depth it was previously growing. Fill with soil, gently firming it around the roots to remove air pockets.

3.) Water- Water thoroughly immediately after planting to help settle the soil. Keep the soil consistently moist until the plant is established.

4.) Location- Choose an appropriate location with the recommended sun exposure.

5.) Be Patient, kind, and loving to your new plant- You know the saying; treat others how you would like to be treated? Multiple studies by Scientists and universities have shown how you speak to and around your plants do affect their growth.
