This is a good quality Barco, made in USA camp axe or lightweight Scout splitting hatchet for use on campouts and general scouting projects in the woods or along the trail.  The labels are intact and readable.  The face edge is expanded to permit proper splitting of campfire wood or boards.  The handle is most likely hickory, and appears to be the original.  Would make a good gift or present to a youngster involved with a formal scouting program.
