This is a very pretty example of an Exakta Vest Pocket B Type 5.2 medium format camera with a Carl Zeiss Jena 7.5cm (75mm) f2.8 Tessar lens. This cameras is designed to use 127 roll film show the “Ihagee” on its pop-up finder with the Sun/moon logo, has the 3 sync post sockets, a nickel shutter speed dial and the slow speeds to 12 seconds. This Exakta B Type 5.2 Silver body camera with black accent trim (#534589 ) .
This camera comes exactly as shown, in very pretty looking condition showing light cosmetic wear. The focusing screen looks good showing some oxidation and there is some marks to the top inner finder mirror. The focusing finder is viewable with some de-slivering of the inner slr mirror. The waist level finder works with a proper working flip up and the flip-out magnifier works and has a good flip out magnifier up. The camera looks to work well from1/1000 to 1/25, B and Z positions. When in Z, the slow speed dial allowing the camera to be used up to 12 seconds turns and sounds good while mechanical moving -it might only shoot longer speeds (not fully tested or not sure if tested properly for shorter durations). The camera advances and the mirror sets with the shutter curtain moving; takes approx. 3 advances to fully set. The curtain shows some wrinkling and the fabric seems to be thinning and will probably need replaced if wanting to use it with film. The camera focuses nicely throughout its full range. The Carl Zeiss Jena 7.5cm f2.8 lens is in great condition showing light cosmetic wear. The lens glass is nice with No scratches, No fungus, very faint inner haze, light dust. The aperture works properly at all stops; f2.8 - f22 with nice blades. It properly fits the camera and focusing works properly when on the camera too.
Also included is is proper Ihagee brown leather case.. The case shows leather wear with some leathering chapping. The strap lug of the case is connected but is almost separated from the case. The case has a good closing latch and good sticking.
This set Checked visually - Not tested with film….
