This is a good running, speedy laptop but there may be scratches, scuffs, minor cracks or dings, small bits of unimportant plastic cracked off, discoloration, or other marks and wear as it is being sold used with some wear on the plastics such as the cover, palm rest, other areas, etc.  Do not confuse cosmetic damage on the plastics of the laptop with how good the inside might be.  The inside is fine. I refurbish and go thru each of these and test most things before putting them in the mail to you so rest assured that a good running laptop leaves my home before I ship it out.

This listing is for a good running  14.1" Lenovo Thinkpad R60 laptop with freshly installed Windows 2000 Professional SP4.  It has installed Office 2000, which includes Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, etc. It also has some various useful software and cleaning programs.

The picture shown is NOT of this particular laptop.  It is from google to show you what this model looks like. I am selling several dozen laptops and have no time to photograph them all.

There are not very many Windows 2000 laptops out there anymore, heaven forbid one with 3 GB of memory and tweaked for speed, so I have specially set a few of these up for people who need this set up for software they need to use in their office and for playing some older video games. It might be a good idea to keep a few in storage if you need to run specific software that only runs on Windows 2000. These laptops are pretty impossible to come by. When Windows 2000 came along, most laptops that are left from that time period have tiny memory and are pretty lame in processing power, so to find a laptop like this, powerful, and in this freshly installed state is pretty rare. It took me many hours to sort this out, find drivers, etc. This was no easy feat. The result is a much faster, fresh Windows 2000 that should serve you in top form for a long time to come.

You may be able to access the plug in internet (not wifi as W2000 did not come with wifi) if you wish to, but Windows 2000 internet capability is very lame compared to today's standards. It will be completely up to you to figure out how to get on the internet. The browser on here is a very old version of Opera and cannot be updated, and I've put every last update that I could find available for Windows 2000 already on it. There are features that these older versions of browsers cannot utilize that more recent operating systems can do such as watch youtube, etc. Many websites are inaccessible, etc. You can surf the web, download stuff if the old browser lets you access it, and may or may not be able to check your email, etc. I am not responsible and do not refund if you can't get on the internet or access this or that on the internet or any other network. There appear to be hacked and modified software that one can use to get on wifi and even watch youtube and see many advanced websites out there and I'm looking into it but haven't tried any yet.

It comes with a power adapter cord, a 1.66 or 1.83 GHz processor, 250 GB hard drive, CD/DVD player, and 3 GB ram. The battery is good and the laptop also works fine with just the cord.

I have freshly installed everything (so no viruses like in many used computers). I also have a few identical ones available for purchase if you want to use one now and stash one or two for later use if you want to secure your ability to still use those softwares. A good powerful laptop with these operating systems on it is basically unable to be found anywhere except from me. 

This laptop is sold AS-IS with no refunds.  That being said, if the post office damages it in shipping, after getting our permission, you may send it back within one week of receiving it and we'll refund it.
