A mid-20th Century modernist gold-plated sterling silver 925s necklace from Albert Scharning in white guilloche enamel.

Produced by Albert Scharning in the 1950s (could be 1960s).

The necklace is marked A. Sch. Norway Sterling.

In excellent vintage condition. The enamel is in excellent condition with just some light patina to the metal.

Spring lock closes securely and the necklace is approximately 16 inches long.

Albert Scharning (1875-1950) was a renowned Norwegian silversmith who blended traditional Norwegian motifs with modern Mid-Century aesthetics. Based in Oslo and later Molde, his workshop became a hallmark of high-quality Scandinavian silver and enamel work. After Albert's death in 1950, his son Per Scharning transitioned the business into a dedicated workshop that produced some of the most the iconic modernist designs of the mid 20th Century. The company ceased operations in 1980.
