A Compaq Portable 386, powers up and working. 20MHz 386DX, 1MB RAM and a 40MB hard disc.

These have a beautiful orange gas plasma display and this one is working fine.

Powers on, RAM test and needs the diag disc to boot and set the drive to 42 for it to boot all the way. Hard drive spins up.

Cosmetically okay. Various exterior marks, some stains. Missing both keyboard feet. The keyboard cable insulation has gone brittle, shows some cracking and if flexed will likely disintegrate (although this is just the outer jacket and can be replaced) - common with these machines. Handle shows wear but is solid enough.
