MATON The 70th Anniversary Edition Dreadnought -2016。- (2016) (no260216)

Founded in 1946, Maton Guitars is famous for being used by the legendary acoustic guitarist Tommy Emmanuel.
Based in Melbourne, Australia, Maton produces approximately 7,000 guitars per year.
Although supply is overwhelmingly slow, the company has maintained its production system and continues to build high-quality guitars assembled by a team of 35 artisans, which is the secret to its popularity.

This is a dreadnought cutaway model, released in 2016 as a limited edition to commemorate the company's 70th anniversary, along with the 808 shape.

Features include an AAA-grade Sitka spruce top, figured Australian blackwood back and sides, blackwood neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge, 647.7mm scale, 44.1mm nut width, Grover tuners, and scalloped bracing.

The body and headtop are finished in a UV gloss finish, while the rest of the body is finished in a satin nitrocellulose lacquer.

The preamp is equipped with the world-renowned AP5 Pro dual pickup system.
A piezo + condenser microphone and 3-band EQ (with the mid band being continuously switchable between low-mid and high-mid) allow for a wide range of sound shaping.After arrival, we filed the frets, patched a crack between the fingerboard and sound hole, and adjusted the string height.

The neck is straight, and the truss rod can be adjusted in either direction.
The string height above the 12th fret is set at approximately 2.5mm on the 6th string and 1.5mm on the 1st string, providing excellent playability.

Although it has been played for some time, there are no visible major dents and it is in good condition. A crack has been repaired, but it has been repaired without any unevenness, so there are no problems with its strength.

Includes a genuine Hiscox hardshell case.
