SIGNED American Folk Art Circus Animal Sculptures by Nancy Williams.

This listing is for a matched pair depicting a circus elephant and zebra, executed in hand-sewn artist’s canvas and individually hand-painted in a traditional folk / naïve style. Each figure is mounted on a wooden wheeled base, referencing early toy and circus imagery.

Both pieces are artist signed and one is  accompanied by an original handwritten provenance note from the maker. In her note, Williams states these are original, limited designs, inspired by 19th-century Pullman toys, carefully sewn and painted using traditional methods. These are modern folk art works, not antiques or reproductions.

Materials include painted canvas, textile accents, and wood. Surface variation, paint irregularities, and light wear are intentional and consistent with authentic folk-art construction. Overall condition is very good, with no structural damage observed.
