Porcelain figurine modelled as an anthropomorphised crescent moon with a seated couple embracing on the surface. Finished in a white glaze with hand-painted facial features, clothing details, and gilt accents. A small applied porcelain flower decorates the front. The moon is fully modelled with facial detailing visible from both sides.
Unmarked example, likely produced for the export market. Style, materials, and decoration are consistent with mid-century Japanese novelty and giftware. Estimated date circa 1950s.
