Early 1900s Gibson Girl Candy Pink Cotton 3-Piece Gown, Black Tulle Net overlay on the Bodice and Trained Skirt is Lavishly Hand-Embroidered with Jet Glass Beads and Mirror Sequins. Comes with the Original Black Silk Petticoat, both of the skirts are Bordered at the flounces with Wide Pleating. The Skirt has a Lovely Pinch-Pleated Silk Chiffon Ruffle at the hemline. The Bodice Fastens at one Upper Shoulder & collar, hooks & eyes, Loosely Fitted and Gathered at the front waist into a soft pigeon breast. Hook-Eye Closures down the Solid Cotton underbodice, No boning, Circa 1905. Bodice measures Chest 30", Waist 27-28", Shoulder to shoulder seam 11 1/2", Length nape seam to hem 19 1/2", Sleeve 23". Skirt Measures Waist 22", Hip 44", Length waist to hem in front 45". Petticoat measures Waist 22". This is a Super Interesting Petticoat as it has a Silk Integral Quilted BUTT PAD, Yes, Really, (tell me the last time you saw a Butt Pad). The Exterior of this gown is in Miraculous overall condition, some of the tiny faceted Jet beads have oxidized over time and there's a whitish cast, but this is normal, do not attempt to clean them. You'll find very few bead or sequin loss, there will be some which is atypical. I believe the black hooks and eyes are replacements, they seem to large for this bodice. The Black Silk Taffeta Petticoat is in Very Rough Condition with a LOT of shreds thru the silk. A few teeny spots beneath the tulle overlay of the skirt, a few faint spots at the pink underbodice. All of these things are minor considering the nature of this garment. You'll find some pinholes thru-out in the tulle overlay, (the largest of which can be seen at the back of the bodice)...BUY-IT-NOW!
