This listing is for 21 issues of KODAK: A Magazine for Eastman Employees. They range from the March 1939 issue to the April 1941 issue, with a few missing over that interval. They each have 16 pages (not counting the covers), 8.5 x 11.5 inches.


They are in generally good condition. The covers have minor surface wear. Three have other specific condition issues (see the arrows in the individual jpgs above, using the magnify feature):


March 39: small patch of glue residue

September 1940: light pencil marks

January 1941: large area of surface missing on back, small worn area on front

The images above show the covers and the table of contents pages. If you use the magnify feature you can read the contents for each issue. Most of the articles are general interest stories. Occasionally there will be a technical article (e. g., lens coating, high speed x-ray photography). There are a couple articles on the 1939 World's Fair, and a folded insert titled "Going to the Fair." The latter includes a list of "Fair Warnings" that gives guidance such as "Don't make acquaintances in hotel lobbies." There is also an interesting insert in the October 1939 issue, "American Industry is Opposed to WAR" by the National Association of Manufacturers, with an endorsement at the top from "the management of the Kodak Company."


These magazines were donated to be sold to support the Argus Museum. They are not part of the Argus Museum collection.
