I do not know a lot about antiques so I uploaded photos to ChatGPT and this is the description

Authentic antique wooden mortar with original metal liner and brass banding, dating to the 19th century. This is a solid, utilitarian example with honest wear from age and use.

The mortar is made from turned hardwood with a footed base and reinforced with brass bands. The interior metal liner shows heavy wear consistent with long-term grinding of herbs or spices. The bottom brass band is loose due to age-related wood shrinkage, which is common on pieces of this type. No modern repairs observed.

A great piece for early kitchenware, apothecary, or primitive décor collections.
