This synthetic fur meets the Mil Spec MIL-C-6590C for cloth pile specified for use for the G-1 Flight Jacket. The material is 100% Acrylic as required by the specification.

We have been searching for this material for a long time and we finally found a source. It is a dead on match in every aspect to the specifications. Color, density, and length of pile.

We have a Ralph Edwards G-1 in our collection that has pristine synthetic mouton. It was an amazing find and helped in our efforts to get the material right.

This is the perfect replacement mouton to freshen up old and matted G-1 fur and make the jacket comfortable to wear again.
