CONDITION: Used. Very good, grade A- condition. The medium screwdriver is slightly twisted. Little or no wear on the blades, pliers and other tools. Everything moves smoothly and works as it should. Some scratching and wear on the stainless steel body. The handles are dated 06/02B.

AGE NOTE: During its 6-year tenure, the only change in the Original Wave happened in mid-2001, when ridges were added to the rear of the serrated blade. They make it easier to locate that tool when it's closed. The stamped dates during 2002 and 2003 are also unusual: there were A and B versions (sometimes different on each handle). We have not been able to determine why they were added!

MODEL DESCRIPTION: The original Leatherman Wave tool was an extremely popular full-size multitool. It included pliers, wire cutters and a generous set of blades and tools, all housed in a tough stainless steel body. The original Wave was introduced in 1998, and replaced by a newer version in 2004 (then later, the current Wave+). The original was lighter and more nimble, and it remains very popular.

The original Leatherman Wave tool is 101mm (4") long, 30.5mm (1.2") wide, and 18.5mm (3/4") thick. It weighs about 222 grams (7.8 oz), and contains the following tools:
