Highly collectible and full of character, Beswick Beatrix Potter figurines have been treasured by collectors since their introduction in 1948. Each figure was sculpted directly from Beatrix Potter’s original illustrations, with Arthur Gredington’s models now regarded as classics of the series.

Ribby, the kindly tabby cat from various Beatrix Potter stories and depicted here from The Tale of the Pie and the Patty-Pan holding a butter plate and a jug of cream, is a popular and instantly recognisable character. This example dates to the BP2 gold oval backstamp period (1955–1972) and displays beautifully, with warm colouring and lovely hand-painted detail throughout.

The underside bears the BP2 oval gold backstamp, confirming early-period production. A charming piece that works equally well as part of a collection or as a standalone display.
