This is a stunning Victorian Revival style chafing dish (rechaud) set manufactured by the F.B. Rogers Silver Co. (Taunton, MA). This specific model, identified by pattern number 7745, is a high-quality "Silver on Copper" piece, which is more desirable than standard silverplate because of its weight and the warm "bleeding" effect of the copper that appears over time.

The stand features three elegant cabriole legs ending in detailed Lion’s Paw feet, connected by a circular frame that holds the fuel source.

Includes the original matching silver-plated alcohol/spirit burner with an adjustable handle to control the flame height.

Consists of a deep water pan with a long, turned insulated wooden handle (designed to stay cool) and a removable inner food pan.

The lid is topped with a decorative cast finial and features a repeating floral/sunflower and scroll motif around the rim, matching the pans.

Condition:

Vintage/Antique: The piece shows a natural aged patina (tarnish) which can be polished to a high mirror shine or left for a "shabby chic" look.

Heavy and substantial. All parts (Stand, Burner, Water Pan, Food Pan, Lid) are present.

Markings: The frame is stamped with the pattern number 7745.
