Here's an absolutely iconic cover by Dan Jurgens, seemingly born to draw Captain America, with inks done by the great Bob Layton.  You'd have to look awful hard to find a better penciller/inker duo than that.  In my opinion, one of the best Captain America covers ever...and possibly one of the rare pieces where the bare inks & pencils might be better than the final colored version.  Please note that the image of the actual comic is provided just for reference...this auction is just for the framed artwork itself.

Speaking of which, the art is in a gallery-quality aluminum frame, with UV-blocking acrylic and double-matted in a shallow shadowbox configuration.  The art itself is not adhered to the backing board...just in case you wanted to take it out and/or reframe it for any reason.

The framing is identical to another Jurgens/Layton cover piece that I am also listing...and they look spectacular displayed together!  So be sure to look at my other items and check that other item out too.  Happy to combine shipping if you buy multiple items.

Apologies for the reflections you can see in the photo...I didn't want to disassemble the frame and take the art out in order to scan it.

Note that I bought this art directly from Dan Jurgens himself, a couple decades ago at a comic book convention in Minnesota.  You will be only the 2nd owner on this item since it was passed from Dan's hands to mine.
