Published in 1853 this book details the many consideration is designing, constructing and managing gardens including greenhouse and the like (some on a vast scale like  the Kew Gardens  buildings).  776 pages with many illustrations plus 33  engraved plates - some in colour  and some pull out. Oddly these are at the front of the book!   6 1/2 x 9 1/2 x 2 3/4 inches thick.  A heavy book.
