Alfonso Bialetti post modern industrial design espresso machine. Model 4 is among the most sought after and scarce, rarely comes available. This machine is absolutely stunning at just under 11”. Alfonso’s Designs have been widely featured in industrial art and design museums such as the Museum of Modern Art and Smithsonian. The model 4 exudes the same postmodern industrial qualities as some of his most celebrated work.

This comes with a replacement electric kettle power cord of same era with proper pin size, but slightly undersized for the opening (see picture) was tested with water only and heats up. Water exits the exhaust pipe as it should. A few sputters came out the pressure valve below. Overall working, but is quite old so selling for display only. Use with caution. Seals still in tact but are brittle, may need to be replaced. No guarantees of long term reliability. All threads screw down, nothing stripped. The handle feels loose, but still affixed to the side. Does not sit exactly flat on its platform, may want to add felt pads to the feet. There are a few scratches and very minor small dents. See inside, needs a cleaning. Really, unbelievably good aesthetic condition compared to many I have seen. Hoping this one will go to a good home or museum.
