OOAK!

This SOLID brass decorative horse is as amazing as it is heavy!

It’s decorated from its mane to its tail, engraved bridle and saddle, and decorated bands above its hooves.

Issues: 2 issues on the same side include broken piece of brass where the rider places his//her heel, and a missing raised decoration (don’t know what it’s called) on the rear by the tail.

The back leg on that same side doesn’t touch the ground but I think it’s not supposed to since the horse seems to be in gallop or prancing mode.

Another interesting element seems to be on the underside of the horse that appears to be anatomically correct.

Horse measures 9” tall, 12” long, 3” across.

This Horse is not just a brass decorative item that is mass produced. It was most likely modeled after the type of horses they would use in a procession or parade, a carnival or festival. It could also have some religious significance.

Absolutely remarkable brass horse figurine!
