Spanish guitar maker Ricardo Sanchis Carpio is the head maker of the Valencian company Hermanos Sanchis Lopez, founded in 1915 by his grandfather, Ricardo Sanchis Lopez (1881-1960). Born in Valencia in 1937, he built his first guitar in 1950. He now focuses on handcrafting RSC models. In the flamenco world, his guitars have been played by flamenco artists such as Pedro Sierra, Tomatito, and José Andrés Cortés. This 1993s Flamenco Black guitar has had a center opening repair on the top. Although it shows some signs of wear, it has been refinished and is in fairly good condition. It has a deep bass and a long, sustained sound, making it suitable for both flamenco and classical music.
