T10 is one of the highest carbon content modern steels used for sword-smithing and arguably the best combat sword-making steel available, certainly forming a very lethal foundational core to this Japanese Chokuto Katana. Blade characteristics include a hard, tough, reliable & wear-resistant cutting edge, along with desirable blade resilience and good elasticity.
Further promoting perfection, is the very difficult process of clay-tempering the blade. This process precisely facilitates hardening of the blade's edge, while leaving the blade's core and spine softer and thus resilient. Definitely a marker of advanced Japanese sword-making technology and visibly identifiable on this Shinken sword blade.
The matching hardwood scabbard & handle material close firmly together, forming a straight stick staff. The hardwood handle acts as a simple, sturdy and maintenance free handle grip, which is not only practical to use, but also presents in a clean, traditional form.
This Shikomizue sword is deadly, and is executed with a minimalistic and classic aesthetic. It's highly collectable, a pleasure to own and a formidable war sword to use.
Shipping
Average shipping times to most countries are around 15-30 working days or 3-6 weeks. Some countries such as Brazil or South Africa can take much longer for items to arrive.
If you have not received your item after our estimated time frame, please contact us and we will look into your order to see where it is, often it is still in customs or may even be waiting for you at your local post office.
