A classic Hardin point that measures 2 1/8" long by 1 7/16" wide.  Hardin points are from the Early Archaic period dating between 7,500 and 6,500 BP.  They are called the eastern relative to the Scottsbluff point.  Material on this is a beautiful white Burlington chert.  Found in Handover, Jo Daviess County, Illinois.  Nice classic example - well made, killer tiny serrations.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.
