Cut Glass Inkwell, circa 1870.

Ornate cast brass desk inkstand in the Rococo Revival style, originally silver plated and now showing attractive aged patina. Includes a heavy hand-cut square glass inkwell with hinged metal collar and lid.

Glass is intact with a small part is cracked on the lid but underneath it shows expected antique ink residue and age-appropriate wear. Brass base displays oxidation and wear consistent with age. A genuine 19th-century desk accessory with excellent decorative and collector appeal.
