Modified BIOS (Middleton’s BIOS)

This system has been flashed with Middleton’s custom BIOS, which provides several major enhancements:

• The system natively supports SATA-II (up to 3.0 Gbit/s), but Lenovo originally limited these systems to SATA-I (1.5 Gbit/s) in the stock BIOS. Middleton's BIOS removes this limitation and restores full SATA-II performance, allowing drives to operate at their intended speeds.

• MiniPCIe whitelist removed (allows use of any compatible Wi-Fi card)

• Dual-IDA (Intel Dynamic Acceleration) support - allows all cores of the CPU to simultaneously run at higher speeds

• Includes a fix that prevents the “Thermal Sensing Error” that can occur with Merom-to-Penryn CPU upgrades, should the buyer choose to upgrade in the future.
