We can find no signs of use or wear on this item

There are some age spots on the inside of the bottom of the box as shown in photos from age

One of the tags looks like it has yellowed some from age (shown in photos)

We took photos as we unboxed this item for the first time :-)

This is another example of where American Girl has used Pleasant Company tags after 1999; when Mattel had purchased the company from Pleasant Rowland

There are a couple of theories on why the tags...it takes years (4-7) for an item to go from the beginning to end of production in AG. So the item could have easly been started when Pleasant Rowland still owned the company=PC tag

Another theory is AG just used tags that they still had available. There are tan bodied dolls with tags on them reading '1986 Pleasant Company"; that year only produced white bodied dolls. Any...food for thought!
