[Dry Run Protection] DRY-RUN PROTECTION feature is integrated on the pump design now in default. Pump works at rated voltage: When there exists insufficient in-flow or no in-flow (or significant air bubble within), pump's DRY-RUN protection will be triggered: Pump will access stop-run-stop-run-stop-run--- cycle, greatly reducing rotation in this context. When in-flow comes sufficiently again, pump will then re-access normal run performance. This DRY-RUN protection is aimed to significantly reduce physical damage of pump from long time DRY RUN in some scenarios. Otherwise, pump could be conveniently dead due to long-time DRY RUN.

Use
About the use of micro brushless pump product, here are several notes and hope they can be helpful:
1, as micro brushless dc pump, it works via electronic commutation while not brush friction, so there exists no loss caused by brush friction. Pump works with relatively high efficiency. stator part is completely potted inside pump body with epoxy material, physically separated from external fluid environment and completely waterproof.
2, Pump supports continuous long time work with relatively low noise at normal working environment.land use or submersible installation can be both OK, but it cannot be self-priming, just make sure that fluid can actively flow passing through inlet/outlet because pump works via centrifugal force of high-speed rotation of impeller inside (push/throw fluid out). No long-time dry work without fluid, or it may damage the pump.
3, It is suggested that the max volt of power supply be within 14VDC (Pumps with 12V rated volt.)/26VDC (Pumps with 24V rated volt.).
4, For static lift value, it means the max vertical height of flow column when outlet is connected with external matching hose/tube, when pump works at rated voltage. For max flow rate value, it means the max flow rate of pump at horizontal level, when pump works at rated voltage. The higher the height, the lower the flow; when height reaches lift value, flow rate becomes zero.
Note that lift value and spraying/shooting height of pump are completely different. So dear users, please do not be confused by them. Certain deviation of around +-10% is advised to be left when in relevant applications, to leave enough margin.
5, If AC/DC power adapter is adopted to power the pump, output capacity is suggested to be 24VDC, 8A/ more. If less, adapter may be not powerful enough to power the pump. Other DC power supplies will be okay too, when matching.
6, Wire connector specification: This pump is a high-power device, its connector adopts a relatively special 4 PIN connector specification. If the internal wires are disassembled, the brown wire is the positive pole and the blue wire is the negative pole of the two thicker wires inside. (The three thinner wires are configured for the speed regulation function. DC80D-24100S-1 is a fixed power version and does not support speed regulation, so the other three thin wires are useless.)
