Frenchmaison is pleased to introduce a new line of fine hand-crafted and hand-painted ceramic items from Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance. Florence (Firenze in Italian) is one of the most beautiful and romantic cities and its lovely ceramics are famous worldwide.

We personally hand-picked for our customers some of the most exquisite Italian ceramics at the family-owned shop on a small charming street near the Duomo, as seen in our personal photo.

Using the ancient handcraft traditions characteristic of the Florentine art, this family has been making ceramics for 8 generations and has their own process for finishing each piece, done exclusively at the artisan workshop of the company. All their ceramic items are lead-free including this piece. Many are unique one-of-a-kind.

Each charming piece is skillfully hand-painted and molded. It expresses the quality and taste of the Tuscan Master Potters and also depicts the Florentine Renaissance art, period of high artistic splendor, according to the tradition and the style which dates back to 1660. Many of their gorgeous pieces are inspired by the Medici (the legendary and powerful dynasty family that ruled Florence and helped sponsor the Renaissance artists) collection including reproductions of the famous original designs from the early Medicean period.
