Highly collectible and full of nostalgic charm, Beswick Beatrix Potter figurines have been beloved since their introduction in 1948. Each character was modelled directly from Beatrix Potter’s illustrations, with Jemima Puddleduck being the very first figure, sculpted by Arthur Gredington. Over the years, several variations were released with different backstamps and glaze tones—making early examples particularly sought after.

This beautiful early Jemima features soft pastel colouring, a delicate lavender shawl and sky-blue bonnet, typical of first-issue pieces. The underside carries the first BP1a gold circle stamp, dating her to the late 1940s–mid 1950s.
