Rare ca. 1955–1963 handmade Alaskan Native souvenir doll in beautiful original condition.
Features:
• Genuine wolverine fur ruff on hood (prized because it does not frost over)
• Real sealskin lining under the green cotton parka (one-piece hide, visible when hood is turned back)
• Hand-sewn smoked moosehide mukluks with reindeer/caribou fur cuffs and crepe soles
• Hard plastic sleep-eye doll head with molded 1950s “flip” hairstyle
• Jointed arms & legs, original green printed cotton parka with embroidered trim
• Approximately 10 inches tall
This is one of the higher-quality examples from the golden era of Alaskan tourist dolls – made by a skilled Yup’ik or Iñupiaq seamstress using authentic traditional materials.
The wolverine and sealskin combination is increasingly hard to find in this condition.

I weigh items prior to listing so that you only pay actual shipping costs. I use recycled boxes and materials as often as possible to reduce cost for all of us. I combine shipping when possible. Add your items to your cart to see total shipping cost. Sometimes box size and distance will generate a shipping cost that is ridiculously high. I can't control this. I check all options for service including USPS, FedEx, and UPS.
Returns: If you have an issue with an order, please reach out to me directly via eBay message.
