The 4 locomotives, the units (ex USATC) WD 1927, 1929, 1930 and 1931 built in 1943 by Davenport Locomotive Works, became part of the Ferrovie dello Stato fleet starting from 1946 where they were registered in group 831 and assigned to the Livorno locomotive depot which kept them in shunting service until 1956.
