EA Games' popular Need for Speed series races on the DS for the first time in this release. The game follows the street racing gameplay and tuner-culture presentation of its console predecessors, but makes use of the touch screen for a couple of unique features. Players can create their own vinyl designs in the touch screen, then apply them to their favorite cars for a truly custom look. When out on the streets, the touch screen holds the analog nitrous controls, allowing virtual racers to apply the right amount of boost with a swipe of the stylus. Need for Speed Underground 2 supports multiplayer racing for up to four, through the handheld's wireless connectivity.
